my name is Roger and I started Swale Exterior Cleaning in the Covid pandemic of 2020 after being made redundant from the precision Security trade where I had worked for 12 years as an Security Dog Handler.
Initially I just wanted to offer a reliable window cleaning service but as the customer base grew so did the services I offered. I now have 100 regular window cleaning customers in the Kent area.
What I love about my job is meeting different people, working outside in the fresh air, having a chat and a cup of tea or coffee and seeing the customers reactions when i have finished the job.

We grow mainly through word of mouth, and this is our way of saying thank you for recommending us.
If you’re happy with our service and pass our name on to a friend, neighbour, or family member, we’ll add account credit to your next clean once they join us and have had 3 regular cleans.
How it works
£5 account credit for every successful referral
£15 account credit if the referred customer is on the same road as you
The credit is applied after their 3rd clean, once they’re established on our regular 4 or 8 - weekly schedule.
Referral Terms & Conditions
Existing customers will receive £5 account credit for each person they refer who becomes a regular customer and completes at least three window cleans.
If you refer us to a neighbour on the same road (or very close by), the reward will be £15 account credit.
Account credit will be applied after the referred customer’s third clean has been completed on the regular 4 or 6 -weekly cleaning cycle.
The referred property must have clear access to the rear windows without needing to go through the house.
The referred property must be located within the current service areas covered by Swale Exterior Cleaning (specific areas may vary).
Account credits are non-transferable and have no cash value.
There is no limit to the number of referrals you can make.
Referrals must be new customers who have not previously used Swale Exterior Cleaning.
Swale Exterior Cleaning reserves the right to amend or withdraw this referral offer at any time.
FAQ
Do I have to be at home when you clean my windows?
No, we will contact you the day before to let you know that we are coming to clean. If access is required then we would need you to leave a gate unlocked for us. When we are finish we will send you a message to say cleans have been completed and our bank details will be provided.
Do you clean in the rain?
Yes we do. Rain has no effect on the outcome when using pure water. If weather condtions is hard rain and not on and off showers then cleans will be rebooked for the following day or by the end of the week.
Do you climb up ladders?
We do not. We have water fed poles that extend up to 35 feet (about 3 storeys). All cleaning is done from ground level. Ladders are only used to gain access to flat roofs etc.
How do I pay you?
Sign up to GoCardless and after every clean we can take the payment from you without you having to worry. This is completely safe and you can cancel at any time. or you can pay cash or card on the day or Bank Transfer.
T & C'S
These Terms and Conditions govern the relationship between Roger Hogg (trading as Swale Exterior Cleaning ) and the "Customer." By booking our services, you agree to the following:
1. Scope of Service
Full Clean Guarantee: Every scheduled clean includes the glass, frames, sills, and doors as standard.
Exclusions: We do not remove paint, cement, mortar, or construction debris during a standard clean. These require a specialist "First Clean" or "Builders Clean" and must be quoted separately.
2. Access and Notifications
Text Reminder: We will send a courtesy text the Day before your scheduled clean.
Access Requirements: It is the Customer’s responsibility to ensure that all gates are unlocked and any obstructions (such as large planters or garden furniture) are moved to allow full access to the property.
Non-Access: If we arrive and cannot gain access to parts of the property (e.g., a locked gate), we will clean the accessible windows only. The full price of the quote will still apply.
3. Weather Policy
Rain Policy: We operate a "Rain or Shine" policy. Our pure-water cleaning system is designed to work effectively in the rain. We do not offer refunds or re-cleans due to rain, as it does not affect the quality of the finish.
Safety: We will only postpone work in the event of extreme weather, such as high winds or lightning, that makes it unsafe to operate.
4. Payment
We can accept cash or card on the day with card payments there is a £1.00 Transaction fee or if your not in when we attdened you can pay by Bank Transfer.
With Bank Transfers we kindly ask if payment is paid within 24 Hours.
You can also singed upto our Direct Debit with our provider Go-Cardless where payments are taken once cleans have been completed so you have not got anything to worry about missing payments.
5. Cancellations and Postponements
Notice Period: We require at least 24 hours' notice for any cancellation or change to your scheduled clean.
Late Cancellation: Cancellations made with less than 24 hours' notice, or "at the door" cancellations, may be charged at 100% of the service price.
6. Satisfaction Guarantee
24-Hour Reporting: If you are not satisfied with the quality of your clean, please notify us within 24 hours of the service.
Resolution: We will return to inspect and re-clean any affected windows free of charge. We cannot accept liability for issues reported after this 24-hour window.
7. Liability and Pre-existing Damage
Standard Wear & Tear: We are not responsible for pre-existing scratches, "fabricating debris" (manufacturing defects), or damage revealed once dirt is removed.
Brittle Plastic & Seals: We accept no liability for damage to brittle plastic (such as old vents or trim) or perished rubber seals that may fail during the cleaning process.
Water Ingress: We are not responsible for leaks or water ingress caused by poorly maintained windows, faulty seals, or doors/windows left slightly ajar.
8. Service Frequency
We provide a regular, reliable 4 or 6 weekly service. Customers wishing to cancel their ongoing service must provide at least 7 days' notice before their next scheduled visit.
